  1. Thank you for creating this excellent website. I don’t live in Lambston but in Fishguard. Today we visited, at long last, the Quaker burial ground which has been on my list for years. We were sad to see that the skull and crossbones memorial plaque that had been set in the wall has fallen out and is lying on the ground broken. I have reported this to the Quaker Burial Ground Facebook group but am mentioning it here in the hope of raising general awareness. It really does need to be rescued before is disappears into the undergrowth and/or becomes more damaged. I don’y know if it’s repairable, it needs an expert opinion. Thank you.

    • Thank you so much for taking the trouble to respond – and for your kind words – You are my first comment on the website!
I was only looking at the gravestone last week with a local builder, we have had consent to reinstate the stone from the Quakers, from CADW and PCC and will be repairing it in the next few weeks I hope. We also plan to reinstall the cast metal sign that was on the front wall as well – someone removed it and then it was sold to a local antiques dealer who kindly offered it back to the Friends in Milford. We’ll make it more secure next time.
May I ask if you have any particular connection with Lambston? I am always eager to hear from people who may have some thread of information to weave into what is becoming a slight obsession.
